— So, like, it was when we were building our house, putting the second floor on, and for some reason I wanted to make the second floor out of logs. So this idea comes out of nowhere. And we aren't professionals in that field, so we didn't have any special tools. Someone brought a tow to me to use but it was all twisted and tangled up, so much so that it was impossible to pull apart — you couldn't even get your fingers in there. So you couldn't do it by hand. Then I remembered my granny's method of pulling wool apart with her fingers and with these special brushes. They make such things to card wool. I just found an ordinary piece of wood that was on hand. It was very useful at that time but we didn't ever use it again after that. These are nails with their heads cut off. They were nailed in with their heads attached and then cut off. The nail's head was facing outwards, then we cut it off and this is what is left. We used a lot of nails for it, but that didn't matter. We had plenty of them.
