WALKMAN ADAPTER

dimensions: 8x6x2 cm
weight: 0.1 kg
— When I bought my Walkman I wanted to listen to it not only on the go, with batteries, but also when I was indoors. But it didn't have a socket that I could use to plug it in to an external power source. And what there was wasn't compatible with any of the rectifiers that were being sold at the time. So I had to make something… instead of putting these batteries in every time. An actual "battery replacer", if you will, and it's made from these two pieces of wood. You put it into the battery compartment instead of the batteries, and it was connected directly to the transformer. The idea was that it was directly wound around here, on this here transformer. In principle you have these sockets on all of those rectifiers, you just have to check the "plus-minus". This was made, probably, about two years ago. About '98. For a special adaptor with this kind of socket… you have to buy it, spend more money. I don't really want to do that.
